Wonderful World of Wigs #23
So much has happened in the past few weeks since I've returned from Berlin. Lots of Wigs!! VIG 27 hosted the release party of one of the most spectacular books I've ever seen. My friend Greg Scarnici has re-imagined Madonna's Sex Book into a gorgeous parody called Sex In Drag. Shot entirely on Fire Island, every picture is a work of art and over-the-top wonderful! It's sexy, funny, provocative and offensive! All the makings for a great gay holiday gift! LOL. For the party, Greg had some of the pictures blown up and hung around the packed room. I wrote a parody of Deeper and Deeper for the occasion and Greg performed his hysterical take on Erotica. Definitely check this book out! www.gregscarnici.com
Speaking of VIG 27, last week was their one year anniversary! They now have several amazing shows there weekly including; Peppermint (Tuesdays), Epiphany (Fridays), Harder Meaner Leather (Thursdays with Misty Meaner, Chris Go Go Harder and Stormy Leather) and of course, my show every Monday. The party was so crowded I had to perform on the bar (not under it this time). Chris and David were so nervous they wanted me to take my stilettos off and I was like, "I am NOT performing bare foot, thank you very much"!! DJ Pony was turning it out all night. Rose McGowan even popped by to visit Tatiana and Devlyn. Happy Anniversary VIG and many more!
Last Sunday was the premiere of my newest video, FireCrotch, a parody of Katy Perry's Firework. This song is a call of arms for all gingers and features a cast of many NYC downtown denizens appearing as famous reds, including; Annie, Pippi Longstocking, Vincent Van Gogh, Bozo, Ginger Spice, The Mad Hatter, Lindsey Lohan and more!! Director Francis Legge did a gorgeous job (as always) with the special effects and once again WigBar.com TURNED IT OUT doing all the wigs and hair!!! The party at Barracuda was out of control with many of the "personalities" showing up. Thanks to everyone who helped us - could not have done it without you! Check it out on YouTube or come by Barracuda Sunday nights where we'll be showing it on the big screen for the next few weeks.
Went to Shequida's show last night at Bar-tini and as always she didn't disappoint. The toilets were spotless and her cleaning skills have finally reached a new level of perfection. If she could only apply the same integrity to her show. Kidding!! She rocked it. Funny and outrageous and looking smoking' hot! She had 2 guests - Lolita, a new queen from Italy who is a trained ballet dancer and gave us a whole number on point! And my fav, Busted! Busted kills me (kinda like Shequida's BO). Busted can also be seen in The Flames of Hell's Kitchen, a new gay webisode now up on YouTube and Facebook.
